Well..I ended up 3rd in the points chase at Irwindale for the NHRA summit series, not to bad considering there was a total of 95 cars in my class and last year I ended up 30th. All thats left now is the NHRA summit series division 7 finals in Bakersfield in October. I plan on running at a local 1/4 mile track the last weekend in September to get ready for the race. Car ran good yesterday morning as the temperature was in the 70s although the humidity was around 80%. The car ran a 6.48 @ 104.30 on a mild tune. I lost in the third round yesterday, as the track finally went away and I spun 2 tenths. I am still going to be switching to a bias slick as soon as the hoosier radial slicks are ready to be replaced.

Congratulations, Mike. I watched you run a couple of rounds. I went out in the second round. I think the red light comes on too early sometimes

. There must be somthing wrong with the starting system, it can't be me ;) . I had a very slim chance of catching the leader, anyway. I'll probably end up 3rd or 4th. I also had a problem with the car getting loose down the track. I had to lift on one TT.

Mike, the "home built" status make your times even more impressive! That's one fast red car!

Thanks guys....

I can't wait to run at bakersfield, while I have heard that the pits are nothing great to talk about, the track and track prep. is supposedly equivalent to pomona, which should work out great.

I was being facetious

. I know I was early. I ran in the left lane only once all day. I didn't see the glitch. They mentioned Thursday as when it showed up. Perhaps it is more evident at night in the dark.

I saw didn't see it at all this race, but at the last summit series I did see it in the left lane, talking to Leo with the GTO, he mentioned that alot of tracks had issues when they switched to the LED lights.

I have learned to focus on the last bulb only, so because of that it doesn't affect me R/T.

Thanks everyone...

bigjimzlll...which track are you representing?

I have to get my reaction times to be a little more consistent, and if I can do that, I think I will be pretty competitive
