I have a 200-4r in my daily driver 70 C10. Yesterday I was mid pass on the way to work, on it fairly hard. Trans went to upshift, not sure if it was into 3d or 4th. Right at the upshift it went BANG and the motor revved to the moon. Now it freewheels in all gears, no noise at all, no drag on the motor at all. It does have park, so things are good from the rear to the park mechanism anyway. Fluid is clean and clear, not burnt. Havent pulled pan yet but so far no sign of pieces.
I just got the trans out and i'm putting my th350 back in that this trans replaced a few years ago so I can drive the truck while I fix this. Convertor is draining but havent seen any pieces there, and the input seems to be ok just from looking and grabbing from outside.
A friend says convertor... Is there anything else I should be looking at?
