I have an 010 block in my 79 Vette which is a L48. Its a numbers matching motor, its been in the family since 1980. I have been doing some research and it sounds like I might have a small shot at a 4 bolt. I always thought it was a 2 bolt. Some guys are finding 2 bolts and some are finding 4 bolts? What are my odds?

you'll need more info than that to determine if it's a 4 bolt. I believe 010 indicates 350, and that could go either way. :)

the 010 blocks machined for either 2 or 4 bolt caps at various times. The only real way to tell for sure is look in the pan.

might be able to tell with some kind of bore scope through the oil drain plug hole if you could find one small enough. Truth is that for any reasonable street engine it doesn't make much difference.

The 010/020 nickel and tin content meaning is debatable.
The "2482" main caps are nodular, that's a performance block for sure.
