Okay, I am just thinking here. I have a 4" Harwood on the car so I have some room. I currently have the Vic Jr. With a 1" spacer. On pass time tonight it looked like the engine had a vic jr. with a 2" and 1" spacer. I thought it was weird but the car ran an 8.65 for the 1/4.

On my set up I figured it may help to kill a little torque and help with top end. However, I am not sure if I want that or not. My 60fts are not consistent so I thought a little less initially may or may not help but surely the top end would help.

What are your thoughts? Yes, No or Stupid. Just trying to think of some easy ways to get another half a tenth. I figure I could change from a 1" to a 2" spacer I already have.

This is key right here. Get the 60`s consistant and the et should be there. tune what you got before adding something new to the mix. If your car isn`t consistant, how are you going to know if anything is helping you?

-Rick and Anthony. Again, just thinking here...My car will launch a 1.46 at a 104.95 mph on some passes. On other passes it will launch a 1.55-57 at almost a 106mph. Just thinking now....I thought if the spacer picked up mph it may kill a little torque for the launch and then maybe the car would consistently run say a 1.49 60ft. I thought it may actually help keep consistent.

I guess I am not thinking about it correctly.

But for the 60' you are running, the car is more than capable to handle a 1.46 consistantly. I wouldn't try to kill the car to make up for it. Now if you 60' in the 1.20's and the car is inconsistant, then maybe I would consider taking out low end.

Okay Ray. I will leave it like it is. I will probably try tuning by just trying timing changes this weekend and more consistent burnout.

The Wilson tapered spacer seems to help more often than not,
and definitely seems to help when most other spacers do not.

Suggestion: If you're going to try a spacer, start with the Wilson.

--- :beers:
x2....using a 1 1/2 Wilson cnc open. All I know is the next time out I picked up a little mph, maybe that wasn't it but I'm not going to change it...it won't help your 60' though.....suspension will do that, after my changes my 60's varied .01 last time out.....JMO..Dave
