well i got this hurst V-matic shifter used, and it doesnt ave any linkages or cables for it. it is a powerglide shifter, and will be going on my glide.

now can i use my column shift linkage and hook up the shifter cable to that linkage on the tranny? or do i have to buy the cable bracket, and trans arm.

i really want to use this shifter, but if i have to buy all these parts for it, im kind of just leaning towards selling it and buying a brand new one w/ everything in it.

any help is great.

yes you will need the cable and cable bracket
and the arm for the tranny. You might be better off buying a new complete shifter for your powerglide and then it is easy to install.i have installed a couple and it can be done in a couple
of hours. just take your time and route the shift cable correctly, and mock up the location and holes in the floor.
