Hi a few weeks to a month or so I saw a post that had a guy and his 540 camaro doing some open header runs infront of his house. Where did that post/video go? everytime I get the blues I like to see some good 'ol horsepower burnouts...LOL That video made me smile!

That's the clip I'm sending to UDHarold for when he designs the SR for my 'vette engine. It's definitely a no bull$h!t, all business idle. Black stripes for as long as you keep the loud pedal pressed. Absolute gearhead porn, no doubt!

Ask for his "T" grind when you talk to him. 283/291@.020, 255/263@50, 180/187@.200, .718"/.718", .018" valve lash.

I may sell my Voodoo 60234 for one of these.....

Since this engine is my "tribute" to the L88, I'm going to shoot for the same .050 numbers as the original L88 solid flat, which I understand to be 264/270 @ .050. I'm also using a 3.75" stroke crank (but 4.600 bore) and a set of aluminum heads (Pro Topline 320's). I am shooting for .725 gross lift or so since I'll be running shaft rockers. With the short stroke, I may end up moving the LSA to 112 or so to make it a bit more driveable.
Thanks for the recommendation, though - I'll be sure to include that when I talk to Harold next time.

Well since my motor is down 5 MPH it doesnt so much scream like that anymore ;). I forgot how good it did sound hehe.

Thanks I have been depressed since this weekend and these post actually make me stick my chest out and puff up again!

Me too buddy. Im going to save for a cam and intake change pretty soon.

I like the looks of that cam, but I would think it would be harder on parts while making more power.

Hey Shawn, why not give him a call and find out how it fares against that voodoo?

What I like about the voodoo 60234, is the ramps are designed with soft closing ramps for longevity. It was made for a street/strip car.

Re: (Shawn Gilbert??) Who has blue camaro vid with open header 540?

Shawn Gilbert could you PLEASE post that vid again....the old link does not work now.

Yes pleeeeze. I'd like to see it too.

X5! This is one of my favorite car videos and I'd love to see it again. I had the link saved but it stopped working a long time ago. It would really help with the winter blahs about now. That thing is mean and sounds awesome! Please repost.
