i was thinking of trying the meguiars gold class clear coat wax that supposedly is the best one they have which makes the car look like glass. Anyone use it? Any other waxes that kick butt? also what do you think about using a buffing machine or is it better to do by hand that way you dont get swirl marks?.....

Liquid Glass hands down!! Apply with hand and only by hand. I use a 3M detailers cloth part number 06016...Eric

I use kerosene. It works great and is very cheap. leaves a long last shine, even on dull finishes.
Sorry, I just had to do that! ;)
Mothers. None better IMHO.

kerosene - then turtle wax. -- on old fords and jaguars.

Dick, I dont have a can of the stuff on me, but it is a polish instead of a wax. We get guys stopping by all the time at the shop trying to sell us the lastest and greatest buffing compunds, waxes, polish whatever stuff they got. Now we tried about everything from that GOD AWFUL crap Wizards to Mothers. Everytime the shop and I go back to the liquid glass as a final product on paint.

My second choice would be Mothers.

As for the 3M cloth yes I do believe its a mirco fiber cloth. Its the best thing for appling any product by hand in my book, I love them
