Where did I cross the dash wires?

I just installed a Shiftworks Tach in place of my clock (issues there in another post). When I pulled the dash, I tested every bulb and replaced 5 bad ones. I didn’t fully remove the dash; I just slid it out in all thread bars.

Since reinstalling the dash, when I turn on the headlights, the turn signals lamps glow. They get brighter when I turn the light intensity up (left) and get dimmer and go off when I turn it down (right). The blue “Brights” indicator does exactly the opposite. Off at high intensity and full glow at lowest intensity on the headlight switch.

I have no idea where to even begin. I am assuming I’ll be pulling the dash again. How do I troubleshoot this. It was working fine before I touched the dash.

sounds like you`re not getting a good ground to the dash.

Thanks for that. It is starting to do the trick. The "Brights" indicator now works properly and the right side of the dash is now well lit (it never used to be). The missing ground for this was at the screw in the printed circuit farthest right on the bottom.

Any thoughts on how I might continue to troubleshoot this? How do you figure where the grounds are supposed to be? I'm hoping not to blow all the fuses and/or break something else.
