Degreed in my SR cam from Chris and cam card says to put it in at 104° I put it in with the timing marks lined up and it came out to 105° I only have a 2° offset bushing. Should I leave it advanced 3° or put the 2° bushing in and have it advanced 5°? Splitting hairs? Now is the time to change it if need be.

Thanks, Jeff

You would be hard-pressed to notice the difference in performance at 105 versus 104. Could be some, none, or it could run better at 105. Only testing on the dyno could tell, and it would be minute if any.

HOWEVER, if this is a street motor, I'd install the 2 degree button and recheck it.

Reason being is that as the chain gets some miles on it and it stretches a little, the cam will automatically retard slightly.

If you start out being a degree or two advanced from your target, after 10,000 or so miles, you'll be right where you wanted to be.:)
