I did a search and I looked in both the brake forum and this one as well. We just added Z06 calps to a 1969 Chevelle. I just tried a Camaro SS wheel, and it won't fit. I tried a C5 Corvette 17x9.5 wheel and it hit the suspension. I think I should have tried the 17x8.5 C5 wheel and that is my next choice unless somebody has a recommendation. (BTW, does anybody know if the C5 17x9.5 will work on the back?) Thanks!

Depends upon what size rotor you are using and what type of caliper mounting bracket. You will probably need a set of aftermarket 17" wheels to get the tire in the propper location. The newer vette and camaro wheels have too much backspacing to fit right on a Chevelle. You will need to take some simple measurements to figure out what backspacing will center your selected tire size in the wheelwell.

Thanks.

I keep borrowing wheels from this one place in Anaheim, California, called Santa Ana Wheel (or something like that). Great place, knowledgeable people and helpful.

For anybody that's interested, I think I've narrowed it down to a 17" IROC wheel with zero offset. Now all I have to do is track one of those wheels down and try it out.

I run 17X9.5 Centerlines with my Z06 brakes, I know for a fact there 2 other guys on here maybe more running C5 brakes-one has TT2's and I think the other has spaced out C4 wheels. Your gonna have to either run spacers or custom rims. I don't think there are any factory wheels that will bolt on. All the factory rims that fit are for Vette and Camaro and they won't fit for backspacing reasons(adapters will fix).
