Going through some old boxes I got with my '66 years ago. What is this bracket for?

ps pump bracket? the 2 holes an inch or so apart look like they go to the holes on the front of the block down by the crank, and the pump pivots on the holes on the other end.

You guys failed to mention that this is a P/S bracket for a Small Block or a BB of a later year.

If you have a Big Block with the correct drivers side alternator in your 66, this bracket won't help you.
