Windows XP-- It just started doing this --When going to 'my computer' and then left clicking on the C: drive I get this message. It used to open up in a 'tree' view of the C: drive. I can still right click then 'explore' for the tree view.
Additional observation: The hard drive is partitioned in two drives - C: and D:. Left clicking on both receives the same error message. When accessing the external usb hard drive the left click opens the tree view as expected.
Can anyone explain what happened and what is the fix?
