JUst like the topic says. I am using one of those cheap $6 Made in Taiwan angle finders and after messing with it a little I think its a little off, like if you move the thing on the same plane it can cause a 2-3 degree variation for some odd reason. I don't mind paying a couple bucks I just want a good one I can use to measure tranny output shaft, driveshaft and pinion yoke.

FInally got my Tremec all put together and working and it is very smooth except for 5 gear...I didn't put the console in so you could see the whole tranny kinda wiggling a bit. Drivehsaft was rebalanced.

I just picked up a Craftsman "Magnetic base and back Protractor"

Looks like it'll be acurate enough for driveline geometry. It was $10 or $11 has part number 939840

I think this is what others use. I have heard people mention a $10 Craftsman angle finder.

I borrow a friend's 6" digital torpedo level that has a .1 degree resolution. Very fast and easy to use.
