I would like your guess of what size/number cam this engine has, here is what I was given when the wife bought it for me:

It is a 468 BBC with the following new items: scat crank, pump gas friendly forged pistons 10 1/2 -1 on factory rods, solid lift cam, double roller chain, comp pro magnum stainless rockers 1.7 and moroso stud girdle mounted on 781 steel heads which have all new parts including upgraded stainless steel valves 2.19 I & 1.88 E , Hurricane single plane intake and Barry Grant 850 vac carb, Accel dist and moroso wires with all the heat sleeves and boots added. It also has new hooker super comp 2" headers connected to new flow master mufflers & exhaust all the way out to the rear. It has a Holley electric fuel pump with filter and regulator. The radiator is used but a nice big aluminum one with a new 16" electric fan and custom shroud.

It runs very good and seems to have plenty of power. I have less than 100 miles on it so far and haven't really gotten on it yet. Thanks for any input.

Kevin, I got lucky I guess. Hard to find a woman who loves the musclecars like we do.

Doug, I really like the way it runs and was wondering what the cam was since the previous owner didn't know. It feels like a beast compared to other previous cars I've owned.

Z15, where can I find the specs on it?

Thanks for the input fellas.

I don't think you want to pull the engine down to find out, do you?
What are the valve lash settings since this is a mechanical cam?

you can pull a valve cover and look down into the lifter valley - that will at least tell you if you have roller lifters or not.

How about some stats, like idle rpm and idle vacuum?
