Hey Guys and Gals! I am running a 1969 Chevelle with a built ZZ-502. I am Curious what people are running for Headers. In the Past I have LOVED Dougs headers (not Doug Thorley) The reason I have liked them so much was due to the coatings they used and fitment. I never had to "clearance" the primarys for the plugs etc and the coating from the factory never changed colors on me. I know that recently Dougs was sold to the Pertronix company and I was curious if anyone has a newer set of Dougs on their BBC. Is there any Header out there that may fit better? I have heard good things about the Hooker Supercomps. Any input would be apreciated to help me choose my next purchase (aka: the newest reason I cant take the lady out to dinner tonight). Thanks

A little more info, I am running ZZ-502, Power steering, NO AC and a TH-400 with a B&M Mega Shifter.

I will be interested in the responses you get I need to buy headers for my 70 chevelle as I will be dropping in a 468 big block.I have heard a lot of people on here like the Hedmans with the ball and socket connection at collector.

I was having some header clearance issues due to low ride hight so I purchased some Sandersons BB3 shorty headers. Probably not what you were looking for, but still an option.
