Not sucking up Don (Lightfoot), but I think you hit the nail on the head. That is about how I would look at it.

My 70 has a matching numbers motor with no documentation. I don't think I would have been willing to spend more than 1K if it had BS & POP as I spent enough on it anyway. But without the matching numbers motor the value of the paper would increase (in my mind anyway) I think.

Actually, in this case it just seemed like it was going to be one of those posts where there were going to be a lot of varied opinions with many disagreements so I "qualified" mine as just "one of the bunch" early. I don't post unless I think I can contribute, even if it isn't always inciteful and maybe just a little humor only...well, again in my mind it is "humor". And I know...Jay Leno's job is safe for the time being.
