I did a search for fixing the screw holes in a 70 - 72 dash pad and found reference to these. Looks like a pretty good fix using JB weld or epoxy and threaded screws but I have a question. I found the screw holes in the speedometer area and the glove box area. At each end of the dash pad on the under side on what I would describe as the curved down section or "ears" there appears to be a notch or cut out portion about 3/8 by 1/4 inch. Am I missing a fastening device of some sort there or what is the purpose of these? Doesn't seem to be any way to fasten the end of the dash pad in these areas. Still learning about my Chevelle so bear with me. Thanks.
