I would just drop the pan and replace with the deep pan that your wanting. Top it off with some fresh F type fluid and drive on. If its worked fine all these years, whats the point? You could drop the supply line to the rad. Have a friend catch the old fluid in a bucket with engine running, the trans pumps out the old fluid, while you are dumping the new fluid in. Poor mans trans flush. Great time to drill and tap the new trans pan for a temp guage. It's my experience that gauges make your car alot faster, and chicks dig'em :cool: Be sure to score a new filter and extension for the deep pan. this would be a great time to pull the motor and install that stroker crank and blower as well :eek:
