This trans was completly rebuilt a number of years ago, and from day one and at the time my trans guy recommended that I use Type " F " Trans ATF if I wanted even harder shifs. Well I did do so and have ben rewarded with hard and very firm shifs
The trans was professionaly rebuilt by a local racing oriented transmission shop that I was very accustom to dealing with while I was working as a mechanic at a speed shop here in Massachusetts. So needless to say I was able to deal with a very competent trans shop, well that was a number of years ago and the shop is now gone ( bummer ) so my dilema is I want to drop my existing pan and add a deep one, so I realize that I will have to change my ATF
So my question is, I do know that I am now running Penzoil Type " F " in it as we speak, the trans from new has about roughly 10 to 15 K for milage on it from the rebuild, so this is the original fill from the rebiuld and also that was about 13 years ago
So I am probably way overdue for a change
. Anyway I pretty much baby this trans except for a few Posi - roastem's
So, I really want to changeover to Synthetic ATF and am concerned that if I change over to Synthetic I well have problems ?? Basically guy's I want to either run Mobil 1 ATF Sythetic or B&M's new Synthetic Trans fluid
Anybody think I will have issues with either choice ??? any and all experiences with either would be GREATLY APPRECIATED
