The suspension upgrades I made over the winter are paying off. Every pass I have made this year has been in the 5's even when it spins some. Last year if it spun at all the pass was pretty much wasted. If it hooked it ran in the 5's and if it didn't it was in the 6's.

Last night this guy got a little butte hurt in his new corvette for some cash. lol Car left pretty hard with a 1.37 60ft. I think I have it with just enough wheelie now. I left on 8lbs and was at 20lbs at 1.2 sec. At that point it spun a little and I had to peddle it just a tad. Boost dropped back down tot 14 and worked it's way up again. I'm going to try and tighten up the front compression up some more and see if I can get it to hold without spinning. Trying not to pull any power. It ran a 5.82@125mph. The heat is tough right now so I'm pretty happy how she is holding up.

I thought it was going to be an even race but you let the vette get way out.
Now I see why he was butt hurt.
I have friends with boosted LS engines , they are always trying to convert me.
I have too much old iron to blow up first.

Congrats on getting it hooking and running that good.

Wow! You got that ride sorted out nicely. What suspension mods did you do over winter? Looks like it's working awesomely!
We changed the front to TRZ upper and lower tubular control arms and added AFCO double adjustable shocks with Mesner radial tuning in them.

Congrats dude. That's hilarious! You gave him close to half track while you spooled, and then destroyed him. What possess people to try this stuff? I understand you side lol. I used to have guys with turbo LS this and that hitting on me and my TTA. Same thing with Terminators and Shelby's. I just tell this I know my car *had* it’s time, and they need to respect their grandparents (the car that is). Did he even look under your hood?

Nice stuff! BTW, last night I went to see some buds run in the Senior Nostalgia class, but the HOT ride was a blue stang that showed up for TNT. I smelled the aky, heard the whistle and saw him run a 5.27 --- All Street! The tuned/turbo';d LS powered Chevy SS only ran 7.77. Cool car those "Holdens". Anyway, the "stars" at TNT are the turboed cars, although a Caddy "V" clicked off a 7.80. Not bad for stock!

BTW, the few newer Corvettes were all slo azzez. They dont even LOOK like they're going fast.

No. The guy was an ass in the staging lanes too. He was waiting for a "real car" to race is what he told me when I asked him to pull up. I just laughed. You would have thought he would have realized what was going on when no one pulled up in the right lane. lol

Can't you elaborate on the "Mesner radial tuning"?
Someone else may be able to elaborate more precisely. My understanding is the AFCO's have so many clicks of tuning adjustablity. If you call them and pay for it Mesner has them tuned for more adjustabilty using a radial car. At least that is my understanding. I think mine have 32 clicks of adjustability. So you can get them pretty precise.

I forget, are you using Holley efi or a stock ecu?
I have been using the Holley EFI for a few years now Rick. I love how easy it is to make changes with the Holley. I wouldn't even attempt to tune it myself with any other system but this system is pretty simple. Especially when so many guys to include you are willing to help people to learn how to make adjustments on them.

We just installed a bump box so should get fun now. Will probably take me a little bit to figure it out but can't wait to use it.

That's some funny stuff right there!

Did he leave after that pass?

That has to suck for him,you sitting there, then see you coming like a freight train then blown by!

I would just use a 1d advanced table and create a launch timing curve. You would then be able to keep boost high but take a few degrees out in the trouble spots. Even taking a few degrees out can make the car faster due to having more boost sooner. Timing changes are instant, boost changes are more gradual.

If you saw my timing curve you'd be very suprised how much timing you can take out to manage power yet still go fast.

Everything with your car surprises me. I don't doubt anything you say with making these things faster. Tomorrow I will make a couple passes. I will do slow motion video, and log the passes. If I posted the video and the data log, can you walk me through with what I need to do from there with using the advance table for the launch timing curve?

Yes, he did . I never saw him again. None of the other vet's lined up after that. What's funny is I run the ET class which is a 7.0 cap. So as long as they don't red light they will get the win because I just run it as fast as I can. I just want the prepped track so for $20 I get two time trials and round one. When the red light I move on. What is sad is I finished 3rd that night because every one red lights. lol
