Hey all. Need to know what backspacing would you need to get 17x11 torq thrust II's in the back of a 70' chevelle with a 1" drop. Guy at the wheel store said it couldn't be done but I've heard otherwise. Thanks guys.

I have some with 6" bs and 315-35's and they fit my 72 but it is not lowered and they are on my 442 at the moment. I would say a minimum of 6.25" bs would work and possibly a little more and then adjust with spacers if needed.

+1

I have 17x11" 6.25"BS w/ 315-35s on my '69. I believe the rear quarters are the same dimensions.

can you tell if you got room for the inch drop? That's all I need is one little inch.
My wheel/tire combo fits completely in the wheelwells and I am dropped over 2". I did roll my fenders for additional clearance for sidewall flex (if any) I have maybe 3/8" inner and outer clearance, *roughly*.
*If your rearend isin't centered to the frame/body you might be closer on one side as I am.
