Does anybody out there know where I can get a complete trunk carpet kit for my 1966 SS. looking for something that would cover the complete trunk area.

Thanks

Go to an upholstery shop, and they can stich it up. I don't think you are going to find anything ready made.

Here is a pretty clean trunk setup that is in a 69 I'm helping a friend to sell:

The carpet in the center is nothing special, just has a basic carpet binding sewn around its perimeter. It is glued down in a few places to keep it from moving.
The carpet over the inner wheel wells though... There is some serious trimming and fitting that you can't see that is required to get them to fit like that and around the hinge brackets so clean with no wrinkles.

The side panels shown are just door card material or Masonite panels with Vinyl and 1/8" sew foam glued over them and plastic chrome trim attached through the panels to give them some definition. They are very basic with no sewing required so anyone could make similar ones with minimal effort and look really nice.

I'm guessing an upholstery shop would have you around $700-$1k for materials and labor to do a setup like this.
You could DIY something similar for about $300 in materials.

Dear Mr Plum Crazy66, a company known as Custom Trunk Panels makes Pre-made Wood Type Panels to cover Your Trunk Bottom, the Left and Right Sides, the Rear Trunk Latch / Rear Sail Panel plus the Front Vertical Panel Next to Your Rear Speaker Shelve for Your 1966 Chevelle SS. These Wood Type Panels are held in place with a small press fit of all the panels installed. You can use double sided tape or weather strip Glue to install two (2) L Shaped Brackets on the Upper Metal Part Rear Speaker Shelve Panel for Extra Support to hold the Rear Vertical Pre-Cut Wood Panel (Near the Rear Speaker) in Place. You can also Dress up the Front Vertical Panel after You Carpet by using a Large SS Type Emblem which would enhance Your Carpeted Trunk as You first open Your Trunk. The Custom Panel Web Site is Custom Trunk Panels Manufacturing | Product Catalog. I would highly recommend that You Eliminate the Welded Spare Tire Bracket by calling this Vendor to Purchase an Extra Second Bottom Panel so that You can Double Up this Bottom Panel to Space Over / Lay over Your Welded Protruding Factory Spare Tire Bracket on the Right Trunk Side. Next You could either have an UpHolstery Shop install the Carpet of Your Choice on these PreMade Panels or You will have to Carpet these Panels Yourself by using a 3M Type of Spray Carpet Adhesive. See my 2 Attachments Below. My First Photo shows a 1966 Chevelle Black Carpeted Trunk, Second Photo Shows My 1967 Chevelle Red Carpeted Trunk and my Last Attachment is a PDF of Custom Trunk Panels that You to Down Load to Your Computer which has Photos of a 1966-67 GTO install. I Wish You Much Success. Sincerely Gary 396

That's a great diy project. We're about to finish with the Wrangler project with the bumper and winch from 4Wheelonline finally arrived, we'll take in this '67 Chevelle next. Gonna try that cardboard trick, too.
