All I have to say is AMAZING!
My wife just surprised me this evening with 2 tickets to go see them in concert, this was my first time & I went to see them in the new sprint center in Kansas City. WOW, the tickets were $55.00 each with all the handling fees & suck, but man, it has become my new #1 concert favorite & was worth every penny. If you have a chance, I highly recommend the experience. It was a 3 hour concert too. Man, just amazing!

I get to go Jan 6. I am anxiosly awaiting it.

I just saw them for the fifth time in Denver last Thursday. They changed up their set this year and have a lot of new members. They were (in my oppinion) not at their best this year. The crowd here was dead too, which may have had a lot to do with their energy level. I still had a grerat time and will go again next year.

tickets here (CT) for that show are 150 up.

We saw them in St. Louis last night. It was a really awesome experience! I'd heard it was a good show but I really didn't know what to expect. Man ! They blew me away ! The light show, the level of musicianship, the energy. It was the best concert I've ever been to. My 10 year old daughter was giving us her best "I don't want to be here attitude", until it started. Then she was kissing me on the check and thanking me for bringing her. Whoever though Christmas could rock ? If you want to see something cool for Christmas, you wont be disappointed:thumbsup:

Saw them 2 weeks ago here in Pittsburgh,Pa. KILLER of a show. You will enjoy the sights and sounds. Fantastic--SHOW worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bob:hurray:

Haven't seen them yet, I'm wanting to go. I took the family to see Mannheim Steamroller last year, and they were wonderful, but I really want to see the TSO.

I saw at the Lakeland show this year and last had a great time great show, highly reccomended

Well.... not to blow anyone's "high", but my wife & I were both disappointed. :(

We sat through the entire show, and when it was time for "encore's" I leaned over and said "It's OK if we leave now..." and we were out the door.
In the skyway going back to the ramp we (literally) said at the same time "I feel assaulted!"

IMO it was just too much. My impression was:
Give a total Techno-geek 3+ million dollars.
He buys every cool/zoomy/10 billion candlepower lighting toy, pyro and rigging gizmo out there.
Then tell him he's got to justify his existance in 1-1/2 hours.

The "tech" of the show totally blew away, undermined, and ruined the musical aspects of the performance. After an hour it was too much... I found myself sitting with my eyes closed trying to listen. We could have been at a 'Vegas lighting/effects trade-show getting zowied by a mfg's demo... not at a concert for a specific band.

I will say the music was great.... until we hit sensory overload. They have some very talented people - until you just can't listen to them anymore 'cause your brain shuts off.

I sent them an e-mail about thier Denver show, and got a worthless response:

The show in Denver this year, although still very good, was not quite what I've come to expect from TSO. I appreciate the fact that there are a lot of new members this year, but the show just didn't have that WOW factor that it has for the past four years that I've attended in Denver. I know the crowd was definitely not in it as much, but I really think the performance suffered most from being too loud. At times, the sound was distorted and a lot of the vocals were muddy. I didn't care for the new stage compared with the past few years either, but I'm sure it appealed to others. The light show is cool, but I think it went to far this year, and I had a hard time seeing the stage at times. Despite my disappointment this year, I still plan to go again next year if you are back in Denver. Please get back to what made me such a fan to begin with -- the music.

David,
Thank you for taking the time out to write to us with your comments.
All the Best,
