It is possible that there is something keeping the plunger from holding pressure, but have you put any miles on the engine yet? It is possible that a few lightly driven miles could get the offending lifters to pump. Had it happen a few times on service builds and the 6.0 I just built. It made 40 pounds cold but had a pretty nasty tick. I caved and installed a hv oil pump and now it gets 75 psi cold and the engine is silent.
