I have used DeskTop Dyno for years with some pretty good results. You can tweak cam, head, intake, carb, etc and make improvements along the way.
The important thing is to know your cam spec's and head flow numbers for the best results.

With the motor peaking at 6500 that thing should last a long time. Hope you have changed those gears since running the 427

BTW, Brett's heads are fully ported and have seen over 600 dyno horses..

The CHP mag cylinder head flow database is down but wonder if you could compare two cams for my low-buck 454....

Those are actually really good numbers on the first run. Driving a stroked big block with around 575 hp and 550 tq (streetable) will be a tire burner and Im all for that.

Here are the revised numbers. I assume it is a solid cam with that much lift.
Remember guys, this program is only as good as the information inputted. The less info the less accurate it is.

I appreciate you inputting the data from both cams and doing the graphs.
Without overlaying the plots, they look very, very close!
As expected, the somewhat larger ext duration of the GMPP Summit cam moves the torque curve to the right and the split profile makes for a flatter crest of the HP curve. Nice to see it plotted out!:thumbsup:
both are in the 450 horse/500 ft lbs range

could you do another run, :boring: my engine with the larger Summit K1303 cam
Guess you could call it "cam #3"
238/248* .540/.540" 114* LSA cam?
Same lift and LSA as the other Summit cam #1302....
I'm guessing the peak torque moves 500 rpm to the right, horses should jump to over 475 as HP is a mathematical relationship to torque

Ya know, in the DDD, this could be close to Brett's engine.....

Just for fun, could you upload the GMPP 454HO numbers?
Ahsom69 Ben has one in his 68 Elky, my (future) engine is a low-buck counterpoint to his crate monster, now v low 13s, 08 she'll be 12.8 no issue easily

I called on some parts off Craigslist this AM. Seller has an Elky, hardtop, and ragtop, all SS, all 70-72, hope to get out there and look at some interior parts. I'm trying to sway him to the dark side of T-C.
