I'm reading some xeroxed copies of an article out of "The Chevelle Report".
How do I get a hold of some back issues of this Magazine, is it still in circulation?
thanks in advance for your help,

Jim

The former president of the NCOA that published the mag, Mark Meekins, occasionally has back issues for sale. Here's a link to an old ebay auction of his for a single issue which sold for $20. Expensive, but in the listing he also mentions he has a set of 100 issues for sale for $300. That was last month, so he may not have them anymore. Here's a link to the auction. The set is mentioned in the description:

I purchased a bunch from Mark a couple years ago. The set dates from 1985 through 1998. He mailed them to me and included a key chain and club license plate from the NCOA. I have some missing issues but have been able to fill in some of the months via Ebay etc. I would like to finish the set out by collecting all the issues.

Currently I have 5, 3 inch three ring binders filled to brim and going. Lots of good info and original pics. I wonder how many Chevelle owners that had their cars featured on the cover still have them??? I also like looking through the want adds and comparing prices from the 80's to todays parts prices. Enough said but a nice little Chevelle magazine.

Good job Bill- if these aren't sold yet, maybe we should help out by placing the ad here on Team Chevelle?
I called the lady who placed the ad, first she said she "might" have a friend who wants them, then she said she would sell me a few issues and she'll email me with the cost. And then she emailed me and said did not want to sell them! Very confusing, but thanks guys!

Wheelhop,
What did he say about back issues of Chevelle Report? Does he have any issues for sell?

Funny,

Just got off the phone with Mark Meekins and he's got a few more sets of 115 Chevelle Reports he's willing to sell. (1985-2000)
He said it's ok to give out his # if you're interested:

Having never seen any "The Chevelle Report" magazines, was it similar (in size and content) to "todays" ACES Chevelle World, or was it a lot bigger and more informative with more -tech info -numbers -history -ect... Just curious? Thanks

Mr.

From my perspective the comparing both magazines is really not needed. Both are very good sources of chevelle info and how to do things etc. I think Chevelle World has taken time to cover more of the Regional events, Chevelle-bration along with car articules etc. and expanding the family atmosphere and National membership.

The Chevelle report covers how to do fixes repairs etc., along with some nice original magazine ad pics, dealer pics, want ads and some club coverage stuff. Some issues published have original GM Plant manufacturing pics and articules. To some degree all the Chevelle information and details published looks sort of regurgated but in a good way. I have both magazines and feel they both add value. I am like some others trying to fill in the missing issues along the way.

Good Luck
