Hello team and thank you in advance. The engine is 383 stroker, and I was running a dual plane intake (Edelbrock air gap) and 670CFM Street Avenger carb from Holley.
I swapped to a Team G single plane intake and 750CFM double pumper from Holley. I dropped the distributor back in the same place and fired it up and I took it around the block. It was like night and day and the car was really responsive. Since the initial start-up, the car will not fire or turn over. with the new single plane intake and carb, does this create vacuum issues? Is there any suggestions I can do to get my car to turn over? It's cranking but the engine will not fire up.

Thanks,
Anthony

I just reread that.
Your engine turns over just fine. “Crank”
your engine does not fire. “Start”

I agree with the above.
Start simple. In order.
Put the crank shaft at tdc.
Pull the dist cap and make sure your timed correctly. On the compression stroke. Not #6
pull a plug and check for spark.
check The float level.
does gas come out of the boosters when you pump the throttle.
If that all checks out it will start. Then you can go from there and look for a vac leak.

Yes. Thank you, that is what I will check. I thought I dropped the distributor in the same position but it may be off. I will bring to TDC and pull the cap. The distributor should be pointing to cylinder 1 at TDC, correct?
Yes, I checked and I do have spark.
I bolted up the carb right out of the box, so the floats may need to be adjusted, but gas is coming out of the squirters when I activate the throttle.

Thank you for the checklist (y)

So it was running perfect and now its not starting and not even a little bit starting, and you didnt tinker with anything? Does it have points or an HEI Ignition? When my ballast resistor went out I had spark but it wasnt enough spark. You may have flooded it also, does it smell like a gas station?
