Hey folks!
Here's the good news - last night myself and Daves70 got the 454 bolted in place of the old 307 (man, the frame side motor mounts are hard to get when you refuse to take the suspension apart!), we got the M21 back in there, got the Hedmann Elite Hedders bolted on (nice fit!) and a few other items.

However, I think the pulleys I have are wrong. I saw in the tech reference that when doing a SBC to BBC swap you need new pulleys. Problem is, I don't know which ones I need. I see Ground Up, OPGI, and the others have pulleys but don't give me much info on them.

My car is a '72 454 with air conditioning and will soon have power steering.
I suppose I can't reuse my 3 groove SBC pulley from the 307, right?

Can anyone point me toward which pulleys I need to hunt down?
Oh, and I wouldn't be offended if you had some laying around the garage and wanted to sell them ;-)
Thanks!

Mark

Thanks Jeff,

I'll see if I can get the GM part numbers for those and do some price hunting online. My local dealer is not very cooperative when it comes to getting me parts or getting them at a decent price.

I just went thru this with my 68 b/c I added the orig smog system and needed all the correct pulleys.

Solution: Look in the assembly manual. All the numbers are there. It can be a little confusing, depending on options, but all the info you need is there.

After I knew the numbers I called Chicago Muscle Car Parts. They had everything I needed.... or if your not concerned about cottect numbers/parts, get repro's. All the pulleys Chicago sent me, were correct, line up well, and all three belts work fine.

If you don't have the assembly manual, get one. I've looked at mine a million times for stuff like this.

Also anyone with a 72/BB can look at their pulleys and give you the numbers. They're stamped right on the pulleys.
