I was cruising along pretty good till I decided I wanted to get new pieces. I have a 70 Elky and when I checked my catalogs only one company had what I was looking for and that was "Ground Up" and wouldn't you know it, they're for a 69-70 Camaro! The guy I bought the car from told me the seat is original (he pulled the build sheet from this seat and the VIN matches as does everything else). I've looked at several 70 Elkys and they appear to have the same headrest as I do. Are Elkys in fact different from Chevelles and are the Camaro parts what I want (they look identical)?

Thanks

Francis

I'm guessin maybe you have a bench seat and are looking at parts for bucket seats. They are different in that the bucket seat headrests have two round posts that each headrest slides on, while the bench has a single flat post.

Your correct about the Bench seat, that is what I have. It seems that the bench seat for the El Camino (of that year?) is different from that of a Chevelle.

The question now, I guess, will the lock for the Camaro work? It appears the same (going by images), however I would prefer an experienced response as opposed to my making a stupid error, and potentially damaging something.

Thanks!
