If you have soot issues on your spark plugs you will want to check your O2 sensor. They are very sensitive to soot from oil being sucked into intake. This is normally caused by blowby where piston rings are not sealing. I have installed a catch can as a precautionary step. Something else I read up on a Holley Sniper thread about an O2 sensor spacer that moves the sensor out of the direct line of exhaust but still allows the sensor to detect the fuel rate. HBX-1 Once the O2 sensor is fouled you will need to replace. Sputtering, rough idle, difficult low and part throttle are due to bad O2.

The distributor from ACES to control must be locked out where the weights are removed and it is screwed together. I have done this and set my distributor at 15* per instructions. The Aces dash shows the timing moving around as demand changes on engine.

What are your AFR readings? TPS needs to be set, there is a wizard. Also your throttle plates need to move to adjust the IAC idle air control so that it is around 10. Once that is set you reset your TPS using the wizard again.
