i would have simplified my life and got a long water pump to start with, they're all the rage, and more importantly, it seems most pulley systems are built for them with the short pump parts as an after thought.

glad to see you got it wrestled into submission, accessories are a pain, i got to the point where i didn't listen to anyone or anything and just used a straight edge, an eyeball, a grinder and a welder, and a few variations of brackets (mine are all pretty much stock though, at least, they started out that way) and from what i've read, it more closely resembles a big block setup than a sb one.....i read where troy treppenier (spelling? of "rad rides by troy" er whatever, the guy who has at least a couple "street machine of the year" awards under his belt and, had his first major rag feature car when he was like 20 or so) just got sick of dealing with them and got together with whatever company it was (billet specialties?) stripped a sbc block/heads down and designed from scratch, a whole system that that company now sells.
anyways to answer your question...yes, you'd have to change some pulleys, but, with a long wp, there should be no problem finding them in any junkyard.
