Just got my 396 all buttoned up today and went to turn it over
When I turned the key -- nothing. I crossed the solenoid positive and starter terminal with a screwdriver. Turns over no problem. I have run into this with other cars and have never been able to figure it out. Any suggestions?

Automatic neutral safety switch?

Clutch pedal safety switch?

67 I presume?

See if you have 12 volts on the purple/white wire while key is in "start" position

See if you have 12 volts at the Starter's "S" terminal while the key is in the "start" position.
