the same style of manifold is available from speedway motors.
these fit older pick-ups & impala cars & hot rods.
not for chevelles......
Vince I really am not interested on the manifolds just the engine,so I guess I will remove these and put different manifolds on .The engine is for a 68 chevelle and comes with a powerglide all assembled and currently sitting in a 72 Jag sedan.Engine, tranny, car for 555$ what do you think?Engine turns freely, also newer dual exhaust.

here is the engine and car all for $555.00:

Nothing special about that engine, and it'd probably have to be gone through anyway. Sure looks like it's been sitting for awhile, and that presents issues (like leakage and internal corrosion).

Honestly, you'd be better off looking for a rebuilt low mileage 350/350 trans for that 500-600 bucks you're willing to spend. You'd gain nothing by purchasing that Jaguar, and other things you're seeing as benefits (Powerglide trans, new exhaust system) won't do you any good anyway.

i'm sure that Jag could be sold to someone for pretty much the whole purchase price.. is it wrong that i see it as a potential Chumpcar racer?
at that point, it's essentially a "free" engine core waiting to be built into whatever you want.. then the powerglide trans could also be sold, and the engine is essentially paying to to take up space in your shop.

as far as the manifolds are concerned- they could be worth some money if they are the good ones with 2.5" exits that were put in vettes, or they could be worth scrap value if they were just regular passenger car and truck manifolds. it all comes down to the casting numbers. the exhaust is probably of no use to you unless it's got some good mufflers that you can use on your car. the rest of the pipes would likely be useless and should be sold/scrapped with the car.

Yep you guys are probably right.I dont really give a rats about the car just the engine,on the other hand Iknow 76 monte engines are low horsepower engines which is also a downer.I am looking for a 350/350 combo and ideally a 327 engine, just being a little impatient on getting my drivetrain together. Its not as easy as you think to find those rebuilt 350s and trannys here for the 500 600 buck range.People in this town think they are sitting on gold when its really a piece of coal.Very frustrating sometimes.
