remember in December everyone saying they can't wait for 2020 to be over with? Seems the expectation was the worst was over with.
almost 1 month in and how's this year going?
(Let's keep this non political).
1. managed to flip the minibike and jack up my shoulder
2 later that week, come home and hear water running, blown waterheater
3. some creepy crawly was in my pj's and stung me, leg and lower back ends up with a burning sensation, alot better a day later but still there.

It's nice weather today.

That's something.

That's about it.

OUCH!

I'm not much on "new years" as Mother Nature has no idea its a new year; only humans do. Maybe it just me being tired of 25 years of quarterly report cards.

so far, seem to suck as bad as last year does.

Oh wait, its the same time line! :)

Sucks! Im sitting in a waiting area at a cancer center while my wife gets radiation treatments, well it's the best in the SE US so she's in great hands, hope this year actually starts for us with her ringing a bell

Well I got an email saying I am going to be notified by my Dr's office for a shot soon. That wasn't possible in 2020. Just got my oil bill and its under 2 bucks a gallon and my electric bill is still 00.0 so this is my first January ever without a bill. And the God fairy sent me money again. That's all good too.

Rick, what's your wife's first name so I can include her in my devotionals ? I wanna hear that CLANG man! Yours is the only comment I didnt "like", there ought be a "heart icon" here.

PS as many others, I do give thanks for the simple blessings I am graced with, and think of others who don't even have the simple things, like health.

Making the best of it, just like I did in 2020... Family is all healthy, and we're still both working.

It's winter-upgrade season for the Chevelle, throwing money at that like a fool hoping to get a little faster and prepare for running it harder than ever before. :) I'm signed up to run the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge at Road America in August. I'm already nervous and excited for that.

I'm above the dirt, my wife still loves me, kids are all doing good, bills are getting paid, haven't lost any more clients due to covid (yet), and I'm working on cars in my spare time.

So I guess I won't complain.
Kevin, the fact that you can complain is a plus for 2021, well at least for you:p

Happy New Year, you too Rick, medical science is amazing.....Best thoughts!

We're all here for Kathy brother. (prayers)

ps on amore trivial note , I hope and pray all us Chevelle Cousinz get to met up in Georgia, Maryland, Ohio, Kansas City, Pidgeon Forge, Chicago etc.... just booked a room for MD show this am. Just so I can visit with Bob Inhoff! ;) and I PRAY I can spy a freshly born General Lee!

I just turned 80 and bought my first Chevelle. 😘 It's a 70. might even be a SS since it has the Kansas L code, but who knows if the cowl tag is real and what the 'L" code really means. I know what I hope it means. For paint the cowl tag has 65 65 which some color charts for the 70 Chevelle claim is Hugger Orange. Again I sure hope so! But after all is said and done you just have to like the car for what it is not what you hope it is. I wish all good health in 21.

Just got fingerprinted for my gun permit in NJ making sure to get it before its too late (y). My 69 Chevelle has had a motor mount nightmare but looks like its finally going to get back to running. Been frigid cold here in New Jersey!
Jersey makes Ma gun laws look really good and congratulations being one of the few to get a carry permit in that state. Usually when you get fingerprinted its on your way to the big house.

Rick, I hope Kathy gets to ring the bell . Jim Mac hopefully the bite is not serious. One of my concerns living in AZ is stepping on a scorpion walking barefoot in my house and all those other pesky poisonous critters that roam the neighborhood. So far 2021 has started off uneventful. We live at around 2600 feet and got about an inch or two of snow yesterday and this morning. and my heat pump is struggling to keep up. It is about time to replace , just trying to ride out covid to avoid contact with contractors. Jim are you getting snow ? My mother -in-law sent us some pics of the the snow in Tucson today.

Ready for this virus to be over with! But on the bright side the Lord has been good to us, we are both still working and most all of the extended family is healthy and well. Glad to be wrapping up this LS swap and looking forward to cruising around in it.

We're at a higher elevation than Tucson, got an inch or 2 to wake up to. Dish got covered, no service until 11:00 am. Melting fast now.
On the health front..........I've been going thru cancer treatment since 2009. Got told they feel I'm cured, so no more chemo. My wife, who's been fighting a new round of lung cancer since Jan, '20, got told this week that the mass has shrunk, so her treatments are working.
Spent last Saturday and Sunday in my shop with my son-in-law working on his 67 Malibu wagon. Took the dash out and painted it, I've got it about 90% reassembled. Also prepped the doors inside for paint. If it's nice this weekend, we'll shoot them. Removed all the petrified door weather strip and will replace with new. Hope the new door panels and dash pad come in this week. We'll be busy the next couple of weekends.
So far, 2021 is goin' ok for us.
