I’m running a flat tappet cam.
I put the first 1K on the engine from new with Rotella T. But I had an intake leak so a I had a shop deck the intake and they told me they changed the oil. Turns out they put in Castrol GTX and I’ve run that for about 2500 miles. I called and ask if this was OK and told yes. But after reading some of the threads on oil I started wondering. I looked up GTX on Castol’s site and looks like the brand I have doesn’t have that much ZDDP in it.
So you think that 2500mi on the Castrol GTX is going to haunt me?
