Trying to set up Skype for my mother so she can talk to my sister in WA but whenever I try to log on, the computer reboots.

I had it working for a minute once but never again.

I uninstalled and reinstalled both Skype and the webcam software(Logitech C270) and there is no difference.

I also updated to the Skype newest Beta version with no luck.

Sometimes after it crashes, Microsoft generates a crash report that implies it has something to do with the webcam drivers but I have updated those so I'm not sure.

Saw one "solution" on the web about deleting an .xml file in Skype but that didn't work either.

Can anyone suggest anything else?

It's weird because I don't think it has to do with Skype. I can unplug the camera and Skype starts normally.

If I try to use the Logitech software, it reboots.

I uninstalled the Logitech stuff and reinstalled the webcam with just the MS uPnP drivers and it works OK. The video stutters slightly but not bad. I haven't been able to try it with Skype but it's OK so far.
