Some people put them on the tranny pan, I put mine on a T at the cooler, but due to my conflict with temperature I will be in the process of moving my B&M cooler to the front of the car and also routing it thru the 1976 truck radiator I have installed in this monstocity. So I don't know where my temp sensor will end up now. With your setup, I would say a temp gauge would not be necessary, but with my run of luck, I would suggest you install one and also a add on cooler just to keep that baby cool. It is alot cheaper than a trans.
