Get in it and drive it. It will be fine. Contrary to what everyone wants to preach, the gas with ethanol is really not a big issue unless it sits for many years.

Thanks. I don’t have many pictures of it actually. Lots of pictures of work being done on it but only a few decent shots of it as a whole. I should probably work on that.

 

Add as much premium as you can to the tank. Run it till its all gone.. Keep an eye on the oil. It if still looks clean run it.. A year isn't bad at all..

 

Me & a lot of guys I know have had cars sitting for a year or more while working on things. A year is no problem. Start it up & let it rip.

 

my car sits 7 months for winter ever year. I've never had an issue with the gasoline.

 

Just to be safe, in the future I'd store it with Sta-bil added to the gas. I know it helps with small engines.

 

Yeah what was going to be a weekend project snowballed itself into a year long project damn near. I rarely ever PLAN on parking it so I never treat the fuel. It just kind of happens. I’ve heard good things about stabil

The only common issue with letting it sit for a year is a dead battery. Gas I would dump after 5 years.

 

You are definitely all good to go. Take it out for a good drive and then top it off with some fresh gas. Then after that, get it out for a drive at least every two to four weeks, more than that if you can. Hopefully you put some kind of gas stabilizer in the tank when you know it's going to be sitting for five months or so. Oh, and like I always say, speed safely! 😄

 

My gas sat 18 months and I ran it.

 

Add some Sta-bil to the gas and run it!!
