I still have a few details to take care of inside and under the dash, and a LOT of EFI tuning to do, but she's back together, and as of last Saturday, she runs.

Here's my combo:
383, TKO500, 3.08
scat 9000 crank, 6" capscrew rods, srp forged pistons

New this year:
AFR 195 eliminators, upgrade springs, tit retainers, comp pro magnum rockers, cut to 60cc's, comp = 10.6:1 (heads from Wolfplace)
Lunati 60112 HR w/ morel lifters (232 / 239 @ 050, .530/.550 from harold)
TM1 Tarantula intake, permastar coated
Holley commander 950 TBI, 900 cfm, 85 lb/hr injectors, w/ wideband.

Hope she runs a bit stronger than the old combo (iron eagle 180's, comp 270H with 7 flat lobes:eek:)

Here's some pics:

Thanks a bunch, guys!!
I hope she runs as well as she looks, can't wait for spring so I get back her out of the garage!
It looks good, better than fuel rails along the manifold.:beers:
That was a big factor. I wanted the benefits of modern electronics without a maze of wires and sensors, and a "day2" hot rod look under the hood. With the air filter on, you can't see ANY wires, and it looks just like a carb.

hey there jim car looks nice. by the way i have studio in aurora thats cool someone close
Hi neighbor!!!

Jim,glad to hear its running for ya! I too got mine running right after I hurt my 350 motor. I put it on while it was hurt and got it started and everything too. It sure will be nice when dialed in.:hurray:

Which file did you start it up with?
I started with TBI5, had to modify it for the wideband. I haven't run her in closed loop yet, I'm using an autometer wideband and needed to get the correct voltage to AFR table (have it now) Also working a problem with the coolant temp sensor.

I did dial in the fuel mix in the idle area, and switched to computer timing control. Idle is awsome, and throttle response fantastic.

She sounds good. Still got 11" of vacuum at idle, hope I'm not wishing for a lil more sick. Response is GREAT. Having tried to drive her yet, still gotts finish "dressing up" the wiring under the dash and get the seats back in, some good rain to wash the sal off the roads would be a plus.

How do you get to byron from yorkville jim. i would love to check that track out with my car. i know i was going to go up to union grove aswell.
From here, straight out 88 then north on 39. About an hours run.

I used to race at the grove a lot years ago, I lived in the north suburbs then.
Would be great if you could get down there sometime, a bunch of us get together there a few times every summer, It's great to see everyone.
