I know Mark is coming out with some new lower control arms.. and maybe a wide track version in the future. All the info I found was spread out on a few different threads. I wanted to start a thread that hopefully Mark will see and keep us updated on with the progress of the LCAs.

Mark,
I know you said they will have a few shock mount options (stock vs coilover) and center the wheel in the wheel well better. They will come with Delrin bushings and a swaybar mount. They will have an option for the Howe rebuldable prescision ball joints as well...
Am I missing anything? How do you stand on production dates? I am trying to get a time line for building my chassis and one of the key components will be your lower arms.

Also, I am leaning towards the QuickSet1 for the front. I checked out their website. How much travel on the front shocks? (2.8 - 3.5 - 4.25) What spring height do you recomend? 7" or 9"

'Twas the week before Christmas', when all through the garage,
Not a wrench was turning, not even a torx;
The Stage II UCAs were hung by their perches with care,
In hopes that ST. Marcus soon would be there;
The adolescent adults were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of powder coated tubular LCAs danced in their heads;
And mamma in her scuba suit, and I in my free Summit Racing cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap..........

When does the FedEx Man come down the chimney with care?

Finally good news!!!!!!! The A body arms should be done and ready to ship on Fri. of this week! :hurray::hurray::hurray: Of course with Christmas and shipping we won`t see them until just after new years but they`ll be done and on the way. The downside is that not all of them will be done (half of the total production run) so some of the later folks on "the list" will have to wait a little while longer (not much) but the guys who have been waiting the longest will have theirs for sure! :yes: Mark SC&C

Mark, not sure if I made the A list or not but I do know that Santa spent all my money this month so I'd volunteer to move down on the list if necessary. 'Sides that, I need a new radiator from you, too, and I know my wife would kill me if I sent the rest of the kid's college funds away right now. Glad to hear they finally are coming in, though. Good luck all and have a great Christmas.

Now the question is: Who will be the first person to post pics of the just opened box?

I'm pretty fast on the draw with posting pics

The first batch of people will recieve e mails. If I don`t hear back from those folks they`ll get a phone call. We`ve had 100% rate so far on takers for their preorders which is outstanding! Thanks for waiting guys. :)

My money`s on Tad to post the first (5) pics. :yes:

We`ll post pics of the new arms as soon as they get here,just after New Years.

Then I think Al will be closing this monster of a thread. It`s taking up a ton of bandwidth and it`ll be making the transition from discussing a cool new idea for a part to advertising a commercial production item. Of course that doesn`t mean you guys can`t talk about em,post pics and such just that if you have any questions about pricing,availability etc. that you`d like me to answer PM or better yet e mail or call me at SC&C. Thanks! Mark SC&C

Who got an email? I did! :hurray:

If Tad is going to be the first to post pics of the new LCA's fresh from the box, who is going to be the first to post pics of them installed?

I don't know about you guys, but my Chevelle is on stands and the UCA's and spindles are in place waiting for the LCA's to arrive! :yes: The only thing that could hold me up are the springs I ordered from Coil Spring Specialties. Hopefully they arrive around the same time as the LCA's!

Thats funny the front of my Impala is apart waiting for Springs as well.
As soon as the Impala is done I'll hammer out the front end parts on the El Co.
I can't wait to get the tall BJ on the El Co!

I'm sure that's the case with me. I got onto the list very late in the game.
