My goal for this week .... is to complete my 385, run it on a stand, and install, with a new 700r4,... in my 70 Elky. Plans are to also get some road time in, before Oct 21, when the "local" Team Chevelle folks get together for racing fun, in Denton TX. The problem is, ... Summit messed up my overnite pushrod(s) order, which was suppose to be today. Instead, it will be sometime Wednesday. Having other commitments, I'm running out of time. My Main concern is: How little break-in time, is enough, with a hyd roller motor, ...before one can make a few hard 1/8 mile runs? I don't want to sacrifce this engine , just to have some premature fun. But, if it can be safely done, I need some specific recommendations. Thanks again, and again.
