I will have an opportunity to see a vehicle that a customer of mine owns and it runs on water.
Naturally, I shall report my findings here, hopefully with pictures.

He states that the engine is water injected, that the water is heated to 600 degrees and then a very small amount is injected into one of four cylinders where it instantly turns to steam and expands to approx 1600 times the amount injected. The piston is driven down and the next injector does the same for the next cylinder in the firing order.
No starter, just inject into the proper cylinder and the engine goes. Want to back up? You select a cylinder that is BTDC and inject... the engine goes backwards. He states that you don't have to control a bunch of steam, just superheated water. (God forbid you should get into an accident.)

I have never heard of this and he has invited me over to look at the car. (Which I shall do...)
And I don't know what year this thing was built, it is quite old. Anyone ever hear of this?

Mike
