Try a great big Hollander parts cross reference manual that salvage yards use to use, (I say use to use b/c I think they are all on disc now??), or maybe the several other big Motor Manuals too like Motor, Mitchell, Childers, etc.. (Clymers??)...

Just maybe a big Public Library will have these in their automotive section??

I've looked for stuff like this through the years using ALL of them too.

These manuals have/had engine and separate parts manuals for each year as a matched set.

why do you care? Chevy 2-bbl manifolds are low value, like give-away items.

That number you gave just doesn't correspond to anything. Is it cast in or stamped in on a machined surface?

gordon...

you need to supply more details...a picture, a better description, something...

noones being smart we just need more info. Your asking us to describe an intake thats on a V-8 and has a 2 barrel on it. In my opinion a 2 barrel on a "race" car isnt much of a race car...

The members here have manuals, websites, all kinds of info on the parts that make up our cars and if you need help you just have to supply the needed info...

Paul (pdq) is on it so you've already got some WONDERFUL help...

Somewhere on that intake, if it is a cast iron Chevy for a v8, there should be a much longer cast in part number.

Some other description would also help, such as the year of the motor, does it have an oil fill, choke stove, etc. There are a bunch of Chevy v8 2v intakes.

And yes, there are some circle track classes for 2 barrels, and I have seen some very successful bracket racers with 2 barrels. They can be very consistent.

it's short dirt track racing with strict engine limiting rules to the costs reasonable.

What most guys don't realize is that the 4412 is really a 375, not a 500. it's the front half of a #4779 750 double pumper but rated with the the higher pressure drop 2-bbl rating system.

In some places ther's very competitive racing in these classes. It puts more focus on the skills of the racers and less on the amount of money they have to spend.
