Goodmorning!
I have a Chevelle 69 wich is imported to sweden for about five years ago. My question now is what kind of rear end is installed on my car and what are these plates for, which are seated just in front of the shock absorber? I have figured out that it is 12 bolted and the letters KDC 182 2 stamped on r/h axle, but that is about all.
I would be very pleased if someone could help me!:)

Go here to figure it out. Make sure to check your center housing casting date to verify that your axle really is a 69 housing.

The shields are stone shields to protect the shocks on cars equipped with air shocks, (like yours). They are common on ElCamino rear ends, for example.

It's a 71 or 72 2.73:1.
KD - 2.73:1
C - Chevrolet, Buffalo plant
182 - Julian date (July 1 of 1971 or June 30 if 1972)
2 - second shift

Look for a casting date in one of the center section webs (passenger side rear if I'm not mistaken for later years) like this:

This is November 9, 1971 meaning it's for a 72 model year Chevelle. Yours should show May (E) or June (F), a date, and year number. The casting number 3969278 was used for 70-72 so that's of no real help.
