what chioces are there for the bbc peanut port intakes for my 454 dually truck, im looking into putting on a egr style alum. intake on my truck with a spreadbore holley carb. looking for some part numbers so maybe i can find one on ebay used for cheap.

I used to have a Edelbrock Performer 2-0 that was for a peanut port. I opened it up for my use. Don't know what the part number was.

Dennis,
I would actually love to have you prove me wrong with some dyno and/or "real" fuel mileage numbers, but I really think you are wasting your money unless you want to save the few pounds off the iron intake.
Just my opinion,

as far as the hp or mpg thing goes guys your about right with my thinking too, there isnt really no difference i would think, the reason im looking at the swap is to "clean" up the mess, and as well to be able to fit an aftermarket choke assy to my spreadbore holley carb thats on there now, so i would have a working choke, this is not a swap for hp or nothing like that , it is to clean up the look of the motor and to give me a working choke assy.

i have found that weiand makes a 8017 intake for peanut port bbc heads, i didnt think the performer 2-0 matched very well to the peanut ports...........i thought that intake was for the big ovals likes the 290 heads, it has been awhile since i had a performer intake and i guess i didnt pay much attention to the ports back then.

The Pef 2-0 has real small port openings in it. I would call it more of a hybrid oriented intake. I had to grind a good 3/8" out of it to get it even in the ball park of the 290's, and even then it was still wel inside the head port, JMHO - pickup whatever intake you can for as cheap as you can that will do the job.
