I just left local paint store with 1 gallon DP90LF and 2 quarts DP402LF =
$193.19. While there I inquired about the Omni line of epoxy primer and was quoted $80.00. Are people getting good results with this primer, I can't believe the price difference without a reduction in quality.
Any input greatly appreciated. I am a long way from paint and I'm dreading a return to the paint store for high build primer and paint if the epoxy primer $ is any indication of the cost of those products.

Here is my opinion...If the Omni epoxy is as good as the Omni basecoat, I say go for it. I have no experience with the Omni epoxy, but the basecoat is great stuff. As far as a high build 2K primer, I would try to find a Transtar dealer in your area. I use the Transtar primer and the clearcoats, and have excellent results.

I've had good luck with it, and will be using it on my 67 in the coming days.

SPI beats DPLF and the Omni epoxy in quality (adhesion, flexability, durability, application, and solvent resistance) and it's also more economical at about $15 per sprayable quart.

I really don't care for DPLF much and the Omni has less durability from what I've seen. The old DP line was a much better product.

On a total top to bottom inside and out complete restoration I'll use up to 6 gallons of sprayable epoxy + primer surfacers, paints and clears. Monitoring expenses makes sense especially if you find better products at lower cost.

Where do you get your SPI products? I haven't been able to find anyone locally who carries it. Do you know of anybody that might be able to ship it to me? I spent more on a quart of DPLF and activator than i would have on the SPI primer!
