I have been reading all the post on this and I am in the middle of a swap right now on a 64 chevelle the tranny is in. I have converted my floor shift with the upgrade for the 350 so I will get first gear. Now Im working on the linkage. I have read that it is a direct bolt on this but I must be missing something. I have all the linnkage off the powerglide. Is there some bracket on the 350 that I need. I cant see how is going to be a direct bolt in. I want to keep the rod linkage if possible. I know I can buy the cable conversion from shiftworks but I dont want to do that if there is a direct bolt in on the linkage. Any help would be appreciated.

it is a dirrect bolt in but you will have to use the passing gear cable for the 350 the machanical linkage will not work on a 350

ARe you talking about the kick down linkage? I am planning on using the cable for that but what I am talking about is the shift linkage. So you are saying the shift linkage should bolt right up using the powerglide linkage?

it has been awhile since ive done one but i dont think there is any problems with hooking up the shift linage that i can remember
