Chevelle-wise, I pulled the body off in December 2019, and due to other priorities (Honey-Do’s,etc) and some health issues it took a year to clean, paint and assemble the chassis and floor pans, and eventually get the body back on the frame. The car is current outside under a tent and too cold to get much done. Next up, welding up some small holes, etc.

Also tore out the grass in my front yard and bought some rock, but that project also stall with my health ( foot) problems. Hoping to get some work done on the yard in the next few weeks. I just need the foreman ( my wife) to approve the final design.

Also some rear and side yard landscaping changes.

My COVID project has been turning my garage from a messy, dark, dingy space to a somewhat organized, usable space. The builder drywalled it 20 years ago, but only did the minimum fire-taping required for code. After 20 years all the tape was separating and peeling, and the walls were all pretty dinged up.

This pic is after redoing all the mud and tape on the whole ceiling and all 4 walls, painting the ceiling, and painting the walls (the wall that the garage doors are on have been finished since this pic was snapped). I started adding some LED shop lights, but so far I've only done the one stall where my workbench is. Just painting alone has brightened it up quite a bit, and I'm really looking forward to having brighter lighting in the entire garage!

I'm not spending much time out there now that winter is here, so I'll probably wait till spring before I pick back up on this. Over the course of the upcoming spring/summer/fall, I'm going to insulate the ceiling and insulate both garage doors. Then I'll decide if I want to install a heater out there or just keep using a portable heater if/when I spend any real time out there during the winter. It seems wrong not to do an epoxy floor so that's on the agenda too. Until winter is over, I'm happy I got enough stuff off the floor that I can park the '66 in front of my work bench and still have space for my truck and for my wife's car (y)(y)

it’s the same as my pre covid project, getting my 14 year Chevelle projectback on the road.

I’m working on wiring now so not long.

Plenty of work going on in my shop...

Doing assembly on this 72 that underwent extensive metal repair, body and paint. It's much more together now than in this pic.

Started in on my '70 CJ5 this summer. I bought it over 20 years ago and tore it apart to tackle the body rust and finished it to epoxy. Flash forward to covid, had the parts, and couldn't think of a reason to put it off any longer. 327 chev, T18 ford, Dana 20 in a shortened '80 frame and Emu springs.

Nice work for an "amateur".

I've been just going to work every day like normal.

I ordered fiberglass hood, trunk, and bumpers recently and since I haven't used any vacation time this year, I'll probably take a week off when they arrive to get them fitted and painted.

Philip Cancilla and his crew at Custom Rebuilt Carburetors in Middlesex NJ. restored my QJet. This is the second carb he's done for me...they do excellent work. Besides the restoration, he had to install a Helicoil in the fuel supply inlet (had my fingers crossed). So, I went to pick up the carb...cost came to $420.00, I pulled out my debit card...Philip stated he could not accept the card due to internet issues...so, he wrote a note on the receipt and handed me the receipt and carb...He then said mail me a check and make it out to (he referenced the note on the receipt)...I was floored, this guy only knows me from when he restored a carb for me approx 4 years earlier. It was nice to do business with man of integrity...It quickly reminded me that their are still some professionals out their that honor a promise and a handshake.

Love the look of the Qjet. How do you get it, are you plating or painting? Looks sharp.
Im a detail freak...even if you cant see it. Spraybombed carbs dont do it for me.
It's plated...I posted a link in the original post of the shop that did it for me...
