I went to MIR for the taping of Pass Time, 11 episodes-i got in the 9th, 4th car-by the sec day i was getting burned out, standing around waiting-the track prep was good, in first gear when the boost came on it punched me back in the seat so hard my foot came off the gas(stock bench seat, forgot to pull it way forward) i was able to pull out an
11.0 @ 122, but really wanted that 10+ on the board(car can go 10.5-6) hope it doesnt look to stupid on TV, lol
there were a few chevelles there, not sure if someone from this site was there or not
it was kind of neat to see the behind the scenes workings, they had some camera problems,
some people had to make a second pass when it didnt film right-i was kind of hoping mine didnt film, so i could redo it, but no luck there
and yes guys, Paige is a pretty cool girl

I noticed it mentioned on the LVMS schedule about a month ago, so I registered as a participant. When I hadn't heard anything back (about a week, or so, ago), I tried to get some info, but the link was removed. The only interactive link that I could find was through speedtv.com, which was as a contestant. So, I went ahead and registered for that, as well.

Further investigation revealed that no confirmations are made until all of the production logistics are set. Whatever/whenever that is. I also heard not to expect a reply if you registered as a participants/racers. If that is true, I guess they expect everyone that responded to just show up. That sounds like a clusterph_k to me. Right up my alley. I plan on being there, as a heckler, if necessary. How did they handle pre-registration for you?

Actually, I suspect that I'll have another TCer or two in tow. It so happens that filming is November 3-4, right smack in the middle of SEMA.

Car looks very nice. I am sure it will show well on pass time. Wish I could have there, would have cool to have two chevelles for the combo round.

Thats a procharger, not a turbo. Just being picky. :D

WICKED car. Very nice!

I dig that show since its essentially what I do on every pass when I am at the track. Good stuff.

I would like to know more about the process too. I have an invitation from the producer for the las vegas filming, but I cant afford to spend two days there waiting around if there is going to be 400 cars show up for 40 spots.

Rowdy, i never heard anything back either-what the track did was put it on their website,
and to register there-but it was more of just to give them an idea of how many cars to expect, but they said just show up even if you didnt reg.
they charged $10, wether you were gonna bring the car or spectate
they shot 11 episodes, needed 110 cars at least-it got a lot of cars, kind of funny to watch, everybody wanted to get on TV
a whole lot of waiting though, on the first day i waited to watch my buddy run, it wasnt untill around 11:30 pm he ran-they picked the cars for the first 7 episodes that they ran
that day, then the next day picked for the other 4 episodes, so if you had not gotten picked you layed over to the next day, just hoping, lol-i was kind of told i would go the next day, so i stayed down there-would have been a good time to own a motorhome
you might watch your tracks website-their kind of responsible for getting the cars
