Don't you just love survivors? It is not my favorite colour combination, but it was very popular back in the day. No fading at all in the interior. The thing is cherry!

I wonder what a 270-horse 350 is? They had a 250 & 300-horse version in '70. Somebody probably threw a '71 decal on it somewhere along the way.

If it were mine I think a correct Gardener exhaust system would be appropriate, not the generic duals on it now.

Very nice! Thanks for the link.

This car was on ebay a few weeks ago by the same seller, and topped out at around $16-$17k, meeting the reserve. Must have had a deadbeat bidder in that auction.

funny looking at those pics, my car is a 70 Malibu, 45 green paint, same interior color. My car does not have a vinyl top, but other than that it's the same car. The only thing that makes me curious is those big chrome bolts or whatever they are in the back seat side panels. My car doesn't have those, I've has those panels out of the car and I can't think of anything in there for that to attach to. Makes me wonder....

still weird looking at those pics. I've never seen another 45 green '70 Chevelle. it's like some kind of deja vu.

I thought the same thing when I saw this Chevelles on Ebay a couple weeks ago.. I went through and saved all the pictures from the auction because this chevelle is probably as close to the one I just bought as ill ever find. Unfortunatly, mine has recieved a super nasty poor quality paint red paintjob a 6 months or before I picked it up. Another odd similarity is that my chevelle came from Oregon as well..
The only real difference is this one had the 350.. Ive got the 307.. But it did have the black vinyl top, the AC, bench seats, etc..

I really like that car, but how can it be a survivior if it has been repainted? Mostly original and very fine, but NOT a survivor.

Dumb question - that brake booster looks awesome, but I've seen the finish turn bad after a couple of years. Did they plate them better back then, or does the compartment heat kill it, or has this one been replated??
The booster and master cylinder have been replaced, not original.

Tom, the 69 that I had was 99% original when I bought it and it had those bolts also. I didnt put them back in when I restored the interior and I dont know what they were for, I dont remember them actually going into any thing behind the panel.
