It's a 4.3, 4 dr, 4WD, around 120K, had the tranny rebuilt at about 90K. Lately I notice the engine winding up more than seems normal. Not the fan clutch. It's going to like 3,000 in low,22-24 MPH. I've checked the TPS, the MAF, Temp, all the usual stuff. Why would this thing start late shifting? Any bright ideas?

does it have the tow package with the button that puts the trans in towing mode?

no, no tow package. it does have the auto-4WD deal though. It's acted up a couple times , put it self into 4LO on its' own.
Anyplace out there to look up the normal shift points? I looked around some, didn't see anything.
